Project: The Brico Fund
Construction Firm: Beyer Construction
Start Date: N/A

WasteCap is providing recycling planning assistance, educational assistance, monitoring support and documenting the results of construction waste management efforts for this Milwaukee renovation project for approximately one year. These services will allow Beyer Construction to develop, implement, track and promote a successful construction waste management program and meet LEED requirements for Materials and Resources Credits related to construction waste management.

Results (through August 1, 2007):

Reuse 7.61 tons / 15,220 lbs.
Wood 4.17 tons / 8,340 lbs.
Metal 15.96 tons / 31,920 lbs.
Concrete 16.48 tons / 32,960 lbs.

As a result of Brico Fund and Beyer Construction's leadership, ten different nonprofits and others from the community received more than 15,000 pounds of items from the building - allowing materials which would have been trash to be transformed into a resource - allowing them to be reused and benefit nonprofit organizations and our environment.

44.22 tons / 88,440 lbs. of material recycled/reused to date
