Wisconsin DNR Secretary Scott Hassett scheduled to speak at R3 Awards
When: Thursday, October 12 from 5 - 7 p.m.
Where: Retzer Nature Center, Waukesha

The state's most successful professionals and businesses in reducing, reusing, and recycling construction debris that would otherwise go into landfills, will be honored at WasteCap Wisconsin's first ever R3 Awards, presented by The Daily Reporter and sponsored by Waste Management Recycle America. Wisconsin DNR Secretary Scott Hassett is scheduled to speak during the ceremony. The New Demolition
Source: Construction & Demolition Recycling RE-Store, a two-location building material reuse company based in Seattle, has received a grant from the U.S. EPA to develop case studies to document the monetary and environmental benefits of deconstruction versus conventional demolition; provide average volumes, weights and dollar values of different categories of building materials measured over time and during four case studies; and archive and present this data documenting the value of reuse in a manner that is useful to those within the solid waste industry and to the public at large.
