WasteCap Wisconsin is awarding excellence in waste reduction, reuse and recycling with the R3 Awards, the first awards ceremony for WasteCap members, friends and project partners. Five seats left for the fall session of the Construction and Demolition Waste Management and Recycling Training Program
When: Tuesday, September 26 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Where: Waukesha State Bank, Oconomowoc

WasteCap Wisconsin is offering a fall session of the public training program for accreditation in construction and demolition waste recycling. Registration is required and space is now limited to five more seats. WasteCap's Construction and Demolition Waste Management and Recycling Training Program includes a comprehensive "Toolkit" and full-day workshop where you will learn how to implement a successful construction or demolition waste management plan and how to save money on projects by recycling. Successful completion of the course awards attendees with three-year WasteCap Accreditation. Members receive a discount on the course fee. You can now order a copy of WasteCap Wisconsin's NEW Construction and Demolition Training Video online. It's complete with the latest information in material-specific recycling for project sites. Recycling Efficiency Incentive Grants
Financial assistance is available to Responsible Units that have demonstrated recycling program efficiency. A Responsible Unit's recycling program must be designated "effective" (as defined in s. NR 544.04, Wis. Admin. Code) by the DNR. Applications for grant funding in 2007 must be postmarked no later than October 30, 2006. Recycling facility handles more than 80 tons a day - and gives rebates

Your recycling bin has nothing on Waukesha County's Materials Recycling Facility. The facility - MRF, for short - occupies 29,000 square feet just outside downtown Waukesha and handles 80 to 100 tons of recyclables daily from 86,000 households across the county, said Karen Fiedler, the solid waste supervisor for the county's Recycling and Solid Waste division. Wisconsin Tire Recycler Agrees to Cleanup Program
