WasteCap Resource Solutions is rolling out its new system, WasteCapTRACE. TRACE is a simple, powerful and effective online documentation program that tracks ongoing construction and demolition debris recycling and documents the results.

Features

WasteCapTRACE streamlines the entire recycling tracking and documentation process. It saves valuable time and resources on every project by reducing time spent calling haulers, tracking numbers and calculating results.

With WasteCapTRACE, project numbers are easy to find, track or change. It also gathers information required by governmental entities and certification programs (including LEED and Green Guidelines for Healthcare) and provides an easy way for contractors to comply with documentation requirements and larger entities to aggregate results.

Greater Fox Cities Habitat for Humanity ReStore

The Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity ReStore will soon implement a pilot recycling program in order to provide countertops to the Habitat Homes it serves.

The ReStore will take porcelain and glass that has been donated and turn those materials into custom terrazzo countertops for use in Habitat for Humanity Homes. The ReStore has a company that is willing to manufacture the countertops, but they need help processing the materials; specifically, crushing the porcelain and glass into size 0, 1 and 2 only. Any companies willing to work with the ReStore on this innovative program will be recognized for their work and mentioned in the grant proposal.

In addition, the ReStore is looking for help with chipping the lumber and cardboard that is donated to the store. This would be an ongoing recycling effort at the ReStore. WasteCap’s Latest Recycling Results

WasteCap Resource Solutions and its clients have diverted 273,912 tons of construction and demolition waste from landfills, which is 98.6 pounds per person in Wisconsin. An equivalent of 127,796 trees has been saved by recycling wood and cardboard. WasteCap Resource Solutions’ construction and demolition projects are currently achieving an average 74.6% recycling rate.
