WasteCap Wisconsin Talk & Tour at the WI Dept. of Natural Resources Northeast Region Headquarters Co-sponsored by the Wisconsin Green Building Alliance

On Tuesday, January 18, 2005 the WI Dept. of Natural Resources hosted and the Wisconsin Green Building Alliance co-sponsored a WasteCap Wisconsin Talk & Tour at the new Northeast Region Headquarters building. The building, scheduled for completion in February 2005, was targeting a Silver LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the US Green Building Council. The contractors have done an excellent job of recycling during construction. This Talk & Tour was a great opportunity for architects, builders, contractors, building owners, recycling professionals and others to learn about planning for a LEED certified building projects including planning for recycling on site, how energy efficiency can be achieved through conventional design, and other factors that impact LEED certification.
